[ D has been to the highrise, but never as an invited guest. Now that he has permission he can explore the inside without any trouble. After he meets with Simon. This person, without having met D, was offering protection and help. It showed stupidity or kindness, though the hunter felt it leaned towards the latter.
He knocks on the first door, floor thirteen, and when it opens- ]
Hello. My name is D.
[ He takes his hat off, resting it against his thigh. ]
[Honestly he's probably a little stupid because of his kindness, but it is what it is. When he opens the door to the knocking he's a little startled by. D's everything. Not in a bad way, but it's not what he expected.
D is taller than him and his skin looks as pale as the white chassis of his body without his synthetic skin covering it. Simon nods at the matter of fact statement of him not being human, stepping back to let D come in.]
I'm Simon and you're right. My appearance was tailored by humans to appear like them, but I'm not.
[And he holds his hand up, the skin seeming to melt back down to his wrist where the rest of his arm is hidden in his sleeve. Underneath the skin is white, shiny and smooth, made of a hard plastic type of material.]
[ D has no intention of hurting Simon. Others might, he won't. But if they knew one another better he would warn Simon of the hazards of being so openly trusting of strangers. He steps inside and places his hat on a small table, following by his cloak. ]
Is that how you prefer to look?
[ He wouldn't, under any circumstances, support the idea that anyone should conform to what a human wanted. If Simon was comfortable with his tailored appearance then that was fine, but otherwise, he didn't need to cover himself. ]
I'm a dhampir. Your true form wouldn't frighten or upset me.
[ His eyes flick down, taking in Simon. He can't gauge his strength since he's synthetic but his kindness mattered most. ]
[It probably wouldn't hurt at some later point, but for now Simon was cautious when he felt like it called for it, but right now he didn't see why anyone would be concerned with hurting each other. They were all here in this together, they should be helping one another.
One day he'd probably find out the hard way that wasn't going to be the case for everyone.]
No-- well, I've never been completely like that of my own will. I've never thought about it. Looking like a human is normal for me I guess.
[But showing how he looks under it is the quickest way to communicate visually that he's not human. Thankfully while Simon had never met a dhampir before, he knew the word from literature. It was truly amazing he had that opportunity here, to meet beings that weren't real in his own world.]
Though I think not actually being human makes it easier for me to meet other non humans without it being overly strange or difficult to grasp. It's nice to meet you, D.
[Simon motions over towards a seating area, there's a nice lavish couch and some plush chairs. He opts for a chair.]
My terms for this contract are pretty simple really. If you want to stay here I just ask for you to keep things clean and be considerate of anyone else who might be living here. If you don't want to stay here I'll be happy to work something out. Of course I'll help you find work and give my permission to whatever necessities you need.
I want people to be taken care of here, if I can help in my position then I will.
[Simon folds his hands in his lap.]
I won't expect you to be involved sexually with me if you don't want to, it's terrible enough we're made to, I'd rather we choose our own partners at least.
[ Knowing that Simon wasn't human gave him a small amount of comfort. Humans hated his kind. He was neither human nor vampire while still being equal parts of both. This frightened some. And that fear often transferred into anger and hate. If Simon could understand that then they were already farther along than D could have hoped for. ]
There's another who I am considering for a contract. He is a dhampir.
[ It would be simple to choose Alucard. He could protect others if D ever were in a situation where he succumbed to bloodlust. Simon appealed in a similar way, but he also offered up something that was more enticing than a contract. Something that no other in this place could. It takes very little for D to change his mind and ask for something that would suit him better. ]
What if that was something I wanted instead? You would be taking care of me in a way that is more than anyone else can do.
[ Simon was very unique. ]
We're required to have sex. My blood hurts humans. Their blood hurts me. [ It takes away his control. ] It does the same to vampires and dhampirs.
But you do not bleed. If we laid together I could not hurt you. Do you understand what that would mean to someone like me?
[ The kiss isn't surprisingly soft and gentle, they've already been that way with one another, but the emotion that wells up in response is.
D was a monster. Had been branded one for his appearance alone and while it's not something that causes him constant duress, it was strangely pleasant to be treated as if he were anything but. He wasn't delicate, he wouldn't break, but Alucard handled him in a way that he could only describe as reverent.
It answered all his questions, took away all doubt. He would sign the papers and give the other dhampir his trust.
D parts his lips and lifts his hands, one running through Alucard's pale locks. His fingers twist and tug, not roughly, grounding himself in the kiss. He's mindful of his teeth, tongue grazing Alucard's lower lip. ]
[There is the innate urge to bite into the kiss, especially after feeling his hair tugged. It isn't hard, but he does like it. Alucard gives a beastly growl, pleased and eager as he presses into the kiss, but he refrains, mindful of what D had told him before. That, and he knows he is more than his lineage.
His mouth opens as a silent invitation to the other dhampir, less and less shy as he slides his tongue against D's.
[ His hat is knocked askew, flipping off and sliding across the concrete roof. It doesn't go far, pushed by the wind until it catches on chrome duct work, snagged and kept for when he isn't so occupied and distracted.
D is more than his lineage. Monster, vampire, but more than. That doesn't mean that the deep rumble from Alucard doesn't excite him in ways he hasn't felt before. It does. It inspires him to open his mouth and move his tongue, rock his body forward in subtle shifts.
Hands slipping down, he grips Alucard's hips to drag him closer. ]
[A shudder exhales against D's mouth as he's pulled closer, their hips flush and impossible to ignore how hard he himself is feeling. Alucard parts his mouth from D's, nuzzling up to his ear.]
Here?
[He doesn't sound opposed whatsoever, less subtle as he grinds up against the other dhampir.]
About that... Well, I'll explain it a bit more when we meet.
The problem is that I don't know how to cook very well at all, you see, and so I wouldn't have anything but tea. I haven't purchased any snacks recently, either. Is that really fine? Well, I suppose you could meet me here, and we could head somewhere else...
[ D has learned over the past few weeks that the others here weren't the same as anyone he'd known back home. The humans were different. The dhampirs. There were androids and demons and angels. He'd sipped the blood of a robot to make certain that it wouldn't result in any negative reaction. To give them both comfort in knowing that D wouldn't become noble if something happened and the blood touched his lips.
Asra, on the surface, was human. But he was also magic.
That changed everything. He sends him a text. ]
I'm coming in.
[ It's as much a warning he might give before Asra's bedroom window is lifted and D enters the room. He stays there, waiting for permission to come any closer. ]
[ It's like he's in a fable. A story... in something impossible...
Asra flushed, darkly, staring at the words, re-reading them--
He was still flushed, with pleasure, excitement, a thrilled anxiety, when the familiar dark shape of him lifts the window, sliding in like midnight shadows. He doesn't need to ask permission; Asra casts his arms around D's neck with a glad laugh, soft as a cat's purr, smothered against D's chest. ]
[ He knows that he doesn't need to ask for permission. That Asra willingly invites him inside but that didn't change that D wanted to wait. Each time. It was to show the magician respect. Honor. All of the emotion that D held inside for him. He wraps his arms around him and holds him close. ]
Asra.
[ D is swept in the feeling that this pale-haired beauty inspires in his heart. ]
It's been too long.
[ He carries Asra towards a chair, sitting down with the smaller man in his lap. They're close this way. As near as they can be. ]
[ His complaint was made breathless by the way he closes his eyes and nuzzles in as D lifts him. Like he's nothing, as weightless as a flower, as weightless as moonlight--
He straddles D's lap and leans in to kiss him. Soft, at first, and then again, deeper-- and again, until he can barely breathe, desperate for the taste of the man he's missed so much that every nerve feels afire with the want just to touch him, to soak in his presence... ]
[He feels... bad. Since their initial meeting he's not kept up with the dhampir. The month got away from him some how and he hopes that D has managed his quota, he doesn't want him to have to go through what he'd had to the beginning of last month. While he doesn't remember exactly what they'd done to him, no doubt their doing as well, it had made him feel not. Him.
He didn't like it.]
I wanted to apologize for not keeping in touch. I hope you're okay, D?
[ D understands that time passes quickly, fleetingly. They had made an agreement to be sexual partners but that isn't always so easy to manage. For D, it's something he simply doesn't think of often. If the circumstances are right then he does but it's not the usual.
[That's questionable. He still doesn't know what's happened to Markus, if he's dead or actually back home some how... but he can't just shut down and do nothing, so.]
I wanted to make sure you were alright with your quota. It isn't something I want you to have to go through.
